How the counter behaves

The only deep write-up that shows its arithmetic is tribes3v3-wiki.wiki/guides/loadout-points. A second weapons table on tribes-3v3.wiki repeats the same core prices. Together they describe a 12-point cap. You add a piece, points drop. You remove it, points return. If the next piece would pass 12, the counter refuses it.

Snick Co.’s official description says “design your own loadout and strategy” and stops there. No point table is on the listing I pulled on 18 October 2026. Every number on this page is community-sourced and dated.

Worked example, including the contradiction

The careful source walks a clip: an iron sword at 3 is equipped, then removed; a diamond dagger at 2 and a sling at 1 go on. Diamond armor is 6, half the budget. Arrows are 1 point for 12, and the stack stops at 36.

The same clip contains a “6 + 3 = 12” moment that does not add up unless other gear was already equipped. The wiki flags that instead of smoothing it over. I am keeping the flag. If a presenter says the remaining points are 12 after armor and a sword, ask what else is on the character. That is the useful lesson, and it is why I will not publish a crossbow cost from that clip.

Costs with two sources, and the holes

Confirmed enough to print: diamond armor 6, iron sword 3, diamond dagger 2, sling 1 in the worked example, arrows 12 per point up to 36. Not confirmed: leather armor, iron armor, crossbow, whether armor tiers lock to the chest slot, and whether points can be re-spent after the match starts. A claim of five saved loadout slots is single-source.
